Plaster

Plaster is used for the finished coating of walls and ceilings and for molding decorative elements.

plasteringPlaster is one of the most ancient building techniques, dating back to the pyramids in Egypt as well as Greek architecture thousands of years ago. To this day, plaster is the highest quality material to use for interior finish of walls and ceilings.

Plaster is light weight , highly insulated ,durable, non-toxic, 100% natural, free of VOCs,resistant to mold, fading and cracking and creates a calm and graceful environment.

There are different types of plaster, that contain either gypsum, lime, clay or cement.

Eddie mostly works with clay and/or gypsum plaster , that he skillfully applies by hand using a variety of different tools and sponges.

American clay plaster has a natural light tan color that is enhanced with vibrant natural pigments and possibly added dyes. It brings a very appealing, elegant finish of nature to your home.

Gypsum plaster naturally cures to an off white/greyish color, which most people prefer for its classic, distinguished look.

As with clay plaster, dyes and tints can be added to gypsum plaster to achieve the color depth and contrast of your choice.

The finished surface of plaster can vary from super smooth to rough or textured.

Whatever you envision your walls and ceiling to be, Eddie will make it happen!

“Every great building once begun as a building plan. That means, sitting in that building plan on the table is a mighty structure not yet seen. It is the same with dreams.”
